Beyond Comprehension

Stranded in the dark
No path to follow
Tripping in virtual blindness
Then you brought me to the light

Rainy day has come
No hope of shelter in sight
Drenched to the bone, shivering
Then you brought me warmth

My Knight in shining armor
My angel in my distress
How you always come at the right time
I could not begin to fathom

You know to be there when I need you
Always ready even when I do not call
I know without doubt
You will be there catch me when I fall

Words alone are not enough
But then, maybe they are not needed
When actions speak for themselves
Of love that will save me through and through

My safety I lay in Your hands
My trust, my heart
I know You will be my Savior
The rest of my life, for all eternity

Melanie,

I appreciate your work. It reminds me alot of mine. I too am a Christian seeking to declare Christ's love to the world.

I am a college professor in the US who struggles to live out Christianity in front of hundreds of students without losing my objectivity, and without violating the "separation of church and state" each day.

My blog Life's A Poem is my first tangible attempt to reach out to all of my students on a personal level. You'll notice a lot of religious undertones to my work, but I'm bringing them in slowly. I would appreciate your comments, and I look forward to reading more of your work.
